"A Little Sanctuary" is a 3D modeling piece I created using Blender. The theme of the piece is centered on creating a sense of calm and safety in a chaotic world. As someone who has experienced the stress of a busy household, I wanted to capture the inner peace I feel when returning to my dorm room. Using textures and natural-looking materials, I created a cozy environment with soft lighting and plenty of books and plants to enhance the sense of warmth and tranquility. My process began by making basic shapes in a diorama out of the basic design of the room. I then used Blender to 3D model the furniture and decorations, making sure to pay close attention to every detail. Finally, I added textures to the materials to achieve a natural and lived-in feel. I hope that viewers of my piece will feel a sense of comfort and familiarity, as well as a reminder that everyone deserves to have a space that feels like a sanctuary.
