My video piece 'Mother Dear' was created during my advanced video editing class and draws inspiration from 90's FMV and Fallout 1 cutscenes. Utilizing Blender, photoshop and After Effects, I aimed to capture the feeling of being trapped within a game-like environment, where the viewer cannot pause or escape. The initial atmosphere is nostalgic and inviting, but quickly morphs into a threatening and dangerous space, symbolizing the challenges of growing up in a hostile home environment.
